  • 3rd Friday Reggae w/ Big Mountain and Mystic Roots

    September 18, 2026  6:00 pm - 9:30 pm

Stay Positive Sound Presents Big Mountain and Mystic Roots!
    DJ/Host by Stay Positive Sound.

    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1996919965372

    About Big Mountain:
    https://bigmountainband.com/

Formed in San Diego, California in 1986, we emerged from a rich cultural melting pot, blending Latin, African-American, and authentic Jamaican influences to create a sound entirely our own. Originally playing under the names Rainbow Warriors and Shiloh, we found our true identity in 1991. We took the name “Big Mountain” in honor of a Native American reservation in Arizona—a reflection of our deep, enduring commitment to social consciousness, indigenous rights, and unity.

Fronted by the smooth, soulful tenor of Joaquin “Quino” McWhinney, we catapulted to international superstardom in 1994 with our iconic, reggae-infused cover of Peter Frampton’s “Baby, I Love Your Way.” Featured on the Reality Bites movie soundtrack, the track became a generational love anthem, dominating the top 10 charts across the US, the UK, and beyond.

But our legacy extends far beyond a single massive hit. With beloved tracks like “Touch My Light,” “Sweet Sensual Love,” and “Caribbean Blue,” we headlined consecutive Reggae Sunsplash festivals in Jamaica and brought our sun-soaked reggae pop to massive tours across Europe, the Americas, and Asia. By collaborating with legendary Jamaican session musicians—such as guitarist Tony Chin and drummer Carlton “Santa” Davis—we solidified our deep credibility within the roots reggae community while simultaneously capturing mainstream pop appeal.

Today, thanks to our millions of monthly listeners across streaming platforms, our fire is still burning bright. With a lineup anchored by Quino and driven by veteran musicians, we continue to record fresh music and tour internationally. Our sound remains what it has always been: a sanctuary of rhythm, celebrating the universal themes of freedom, resistance, and love.

  • One of These Nights: The Songs of The Eagles

    September 27, 2026  3:00 pm - 7:00 pm

    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1997242211218

About One of These Nights - The Songs of The Eagles:
    https://www.eaglescoverband.com/

    The time… the early ’70s.
The place… a dark desert highway.
The setting… the famous Hotel California which according to the legend is the place “you can never leave.”

Of course, you will never want to leave as the familiar chart-topping music of The Eagles: Henley, Frey, Schmit and Walsh fills the room with the songs loved by generations for more than 40 years.
Inside the Hotel California you will find the Tequila Sunrise Ballroom where a six piece band performs to perfection. The Eagles greatest hits such as, “Take It Easy” to “Get Over it.” The male vocalist will “Take You To The Limit,” with his dynamic version of “Witchy Woman” and “Heartache Tonight.”

With five number one singles and four number one albums, The Eagles were among the most successful recording artists of the 1970’s. At the end of the 20th Century, two of those albums, “Eagles: Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)” and “Hotel California,” ranked among the ten best-selling albums ever, according to the certifications of the Record Industry Association of America.

Though most of its members came from outside of California, the group was closely identified with a country- and folk–tinged sound that initially found favor in and around Los Angeles in the late '60s, as played by bands such as, ‘The Flying Burito Brothers’ and ‘Poco’, which both contributed members to ‘The Eagles.’ The band also drew upon traditional rock n’ roll styles and in their later work helped defined the broadly popular rock sound, eventually referred to as Classic Rock.  This helped The Eagles to achieve a perennial appeal among the generations of music fans who continued to buy their records many years after they had split up, which inspired the reunion they mounted in the mid-'90s. The Eagles were inducted into the Hall of Fame in January 1983.

The Eagles released their first album in 28 years in October 2007 and the new touring schedule to promote this album is guaranteed to spark a resurgence in The Eagles music.

Sit Back, close your eyes and feel the years drop away as you experience a musical journey that will transport you to the very best of times!

    About Luciano:
    https://lucianomessenjah.com/

When you say the phrase "reggae," certain names come to mind, such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Third World, to name a few, Luciano, on the other hand, is a popular musician. Since then, he has reigned as the "King of Conscious Reggae Music" and is now one of the most recognizable figures in roots reggae today.

Luciano joined the reggae scene in the early 1990s and eventually collaborated with Phillip 'Fattis' Burrell, one of the few producers at the time that backed conscious roots music. Chris eventually signed Luciano, and their cooperation resulted in a streak of #1 songs, including an album ranked among the best 30 reggae albums of all time by Mojo magazine.

In addition to Bob Marley, other early inspirations included Stevie Wonder and country and western vocalist Hank Williams, which explains his exceptional vocal flexibility. He was nicknamed "Luciano" after the all-powerful vocals of opera superstar Luciano Pavarotti because his voice resonates with flawless inflection, tone, range, and pitch. He then discovered that the word Luciano means 'light', which he intends to share with his many supporters.

Luciano communicates with his audiences like no other, giving him the undeniable label of "The Messenjah" as he continues to share the message of love, boost spirits, and excite his many followers worldwide.
