  • RIFF/RAFF: A High Voltage Tribute to AC/DC with Whytesnake

    April 6, 2024  2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

    https://www.eventbrite.com/e/855607494047?aff=oddtdtcreator

About Whytesnake: A Tribute to the Music of Whitesnake and David Coverdale:
    https://www.whytesnake.com/

Our story is one of love. Love of the great music that David Coverdale has blessed us with for the past 5 decades. Love of the incredible players, memorable songs, and unforgettable live performances Whitesnake brought us. What we discovered as we learned the songs, rehearsed together endlessly, and crafted a live show that would do justice to the legacy of this great band – is that there are very few Whitesnake tribute bands. And there are some very good reasons for that. It takes seriously talented professionals to do it.

Whytesnake: A Tribute to the Music of Whitesnake and David Coverdale is a band of brothers that have the talent and experience to rise to the challenges that come with such an endeavor. What are those challenges? A rhythm section that can bring the thunder and then hold it down as only Cozy Powell, Neil Murray, Tommy Aldridge, and Rudy Sarzo could. A guitar and keyboard team that could deliver astonishing tone, style, and speed like John Sykes, John Lord, Andrian Vandenberg, and Michele Luppi could. Then, of course, bring the melodic fire as only David Coverdale, a vocalist without equal could.

This tribute band dares to tell the world that they not only have what it takes but can deliver a genuine Whitesnake experience unlike any other can. From the incredible vocal range of singer Paul Parry to the mighty thunder of Jim Rios and Drew Alva, the mighty keysmanship and backing vocals of Don James, to the precision, note-for-note renditions and tone of guitarist Christian Wentz, there is no equal. Ron Keeler brings the live mix audio magic, and his vocal prowess to the complex backing vocal harmonies – without which there is no real tribute paid to the legendary Coverdale and Company.

    About RIFF/RAFF - A High Voltage Tribute to AC/DC:
    https://www.riffraffrocks.net

Formed in March 2007, RIFF/RAFF consists of five musicians from the Sacramento area with one goal in mind: High Voltage Rock and Roll! No standing still on stage for these guys… the legacy of AC/DC demands 110% effort and RIFF/RAFF delivers.

RIFF/RAFF's blistering performances have garnered praise from the fans of Sacramento's classic rock station, ‘96.9, The Eagle’, and endorsements from legendary classic rock radio host Tom Nakashima. Pat Martin, radio host at 98.5 KRXQ (‘98 Rock’), commented that RIFF/RAFF is a "class act and his favorite tribute band."

  • One of These Nights: The Songs of The Eagles

    April 14, 2024  2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

About One of These Nights - The Songs of The Eagles:
    https://www.eaglescoverband.com/

    The time… the early ’70s.
The place… a dark desert highway.
The setting… the famous Hotel California which according to the legend is the place “you can never leave.”

Of course, you will never want to leave as the familiar chart-topping music of The Eagles: Henley, Frey, Schmit and Walsh fills the room with the songs loved by generations for more than 40 years.
Inside the Hotel California you will find the Tequila Sunrise Ballroom where a six piece band performs to perfection. The Eagles greatest hits such as, “Take It Easy” to “Get Over it.” The male vocalist will “Take You To The Limit,” with his dynamic version of “Witchy Woman” and “Heartache Tonight.”

With five number one singles and four number one albums, The Eagles were among the most successful recording artists of the 1970’s. At the end of the 20th Century, two of those albums, “Eagles: Their Greatest Hits (1971-1975)” and “Hotel California,” ranked among the ten best-selling albums ever, according to the certifications of the Record Industry Association of America.

Though most of its members came from outside of California, the group was closely identified with a country- and folk–tinged sound that initially found favor in and around Los Angeles in the late '60s, as played by bands such as, ‘The Flying Burito Brothers’ and ‘Poco’, which both contributed members to ‘The Eagles.’ The band also drew upon traditional rock n’ roll styles and in their later work helped defined the broadly popular rock sound, eventually referred to as Classic Rock.  This helped The Eagles to achieve a perennial appeal among the generations of music fans who continued to buy their records many years after they had split up, which inspired the reunion they mounted in the mid-'90s. The Eagles were inducted into the Hall of Fame in January 1983.

The Eagles released their first album in 28 years in October 2007 and the new touring schedule to promote this album is guaranteed to spark a resurgence in The Eagles music.

Sit Back, close your eyes and feel the years drop away as you experience a musical journey that will transport you to the very best of times!
